Think Big!!

“As long as your going to be thinking anyway, think big.” - Donald Trump

I have a confession, I can’t stand being around small thinkers. Its just annoying to be with people who have small vision, small ideas, and small goals. I am a firm believer that people were born for purpose, that everyone was meant to do something great.

I think the reason most people don’t see this in themselves is because they don’t know how to define greatness and success. They confuse greatness with fame and success with riches. While fame may have some rewards (and some problems) and riches certainly can make things easier they are not the beginning and ending of success.

Success, true success, is living a life of purpose. Living a life that contributes to change and improve the world around you. It doesn’t matter if that contribution is helping children understand their school work in after school programs, or leading worldwide campaigns to feed hungry children in impoverished countries. Living your purpose, seeking ways to improve yourself and others is thinking big. Thinking big leads to accomplishing big things. Accomplishing big things leads to success and wealth, which is better than riches. Wealth says I always have enough, despite what comes, I have enough not just for me but for others. That is thinking big.

You can always spot small thinkers. They are always thinking of themselves, they are always thinking of their problems, and always looking for what they will get out of everything, not what they can give into anything. Small thinkers hate big thinkers, not because of how they think, but because of how they make the small thinker feel. Small thinkers don’t like to be reminded of their smallness, they hate being confronted with their own selfishness.

Thinking big will not win you small friends, what it will do is attract other big thinkers to you. Like a magnet if you continue to think big you will bring people to you that want big things in their lives and in the lives of others. Thinking big will bring to you things, people, and opportunities not afforded to the small thinker.

The best part is that you will live a life a purpose. One that is not focused on what you get, but on what you can give.  A big thinker knows that the secret to their getting what they want in life is by helping others get what they want.  No one gives without receiving.  It is the measure of what they give, not quantity, but quality that opens doors of blessings.

Thinking big compels you not to accept status quo, but to seek the best in yourself and others.  It will propel you to reach for what most call iimpossible and it will drive you to look for how to obtain and arrive at your destiny. So start thinking big, make goals and plans then double them or tripple them. "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will land among the stars."
