Back in 2010 I photographed husband and wife body builder team Dale and Miro Comstock. Super nice people and both of them where strong enough to break me in half so I really wanted to do a good job.

In addition to being a body builder dale has served in the military in special forces units such as the Green Beret, explosive expert, in the 82nd Airborne Division, and nine years as a Freelance Mercenary in support of the Global War on Terror. He served through several tours including Grenada (Operation Urgent Fury), Panama (Operation Just Cause), Iraq (Operations Desert Shield/Storm), Somalia (Operation Restore Hope), Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom), and Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom). He has Black Belts in American Karate and JuJitsu, plus Professional Boxer, Tough Man Championships, Vale Tudo Championships, PKC Kick-boxing Championships. All in all, you really wouldn’t want to tick him off.

Recently however Dale has started something new and that is appearing in national television programing. He was on Discovery Channel’s One Man Army Season 1 Episode 8 and has recently been selected to debut on NBC’s Stars Earn Stripes on August 13th. Where he will work alongside a celebrity teammate to complete operations based on real military missions. Money raised from the program goes to veteran charities.

The cool part (for me anyway) is that Dale is using my photos as promotional pieces. So you could say I’ve gone Hollywood.
